About Dane Dances!

Dane Dances! is a FREE family-friendly event on the stunning Monona Terrace rooftop EVERY FRIDAY EVENING IN AUGUST 5:00 to 9:30 pm.

Enjoy a variety of live bands and music that celebrates our diverse community and gets everyone on the dance floor.

Know Before You Go:

  • Admission is FREE! All are welcome. Rooftop gate opens at 4:30 pm.

  • Parking is available at Monna Terrace ($5 after 5 pm). There is also street parking and many Capitol Area lots open.

  • Food & Drinks: Bring a picnic basket. (Carry-in alcohol is not permitted.) A variety of yummy food, beer, wine, and cocktails are available for purchase beginning at 5:00 p.m.

  • Seating: Rooftop seating is limited, so arrive early for the best spot. You may bring in a blanket or lawn chair.

  • Family-Friendly: Dane Dances! is a welcoming event for all ages. Pets are not permitted.
