Dear Friends of Dane Dances! and Dane Dinners,
The first Dane Dinner was a smashing success! Our vision for this activity was to bring the diverse community of Dane County together in a more intimate setting. This was accomplished by enjoying food, engaging in dialogue, sharing experiences, learning from one another and coming to appreciate all.
Our first of three dinners this year is scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Catholic Multicultural Center from 6-8 pm. The center is located at 1862 Beld Street in Madison, just east of South Park Street and south of Wingra Creek. The free meal is catered, but if you would like, you may bring ethnic bread or cookies to share. Seating and serving of the meal will start shortly after 6 o’clock, so come early to check in.
We hope you are still as excited as we are about these dinners and decide to participate. Since seating is limited, reservations are necessary on a first come, first served basis. You can reserve a place by filling out the enclosed questionnaire and sending it to PO Box 1672 , Madison , WI 53701 or completing the form online at www.danedances.org. Please click on the "Save and Close' after entering your information. The deadline for reservations is Thursday, October 5. While we love the presence of children at Dane Dances, we are unable to provide childcare at the dinners; therefore it is an adult’s only event. In the future we may be able to provide this service.
When you register for the dinners, you need to fill out a
questionnaire either on line here or fill save, fill out and mail in a
questionnaire in either Microsoft Word or standard web page format here.
We are looking forward to another wonderful evening of food, conversation and getting to know you as we break bread together.
